Hi Lou! Thank you so so much for the wonderful work you’ve done on my grandma’s ring! It just seems so much more substantial now and even sits better.
Fiona Goodman
A very lovely piece of jewellery for my son’s fiancé. It’s elegant and pretty. Great purchase!
Teresa Weicht
Spoke with Louise about our choice and she was charming and informative. Delivery was as stated and arrived in good time for my daughter’s birthday. I highly recommend Honour Jewellery and would have no hesitation in choosing them again.

Louise, I can’t thank you enough for my engagement ring. As you know, I had an awful experience with a large UK jewellery retailer and I wish my now husband was aware of your company from the outset, when planning to get engaged.
You were reliable in terms of phone calls, giving me progress on my ring and options available and your knowledge and experience regarding what was required was evident. I was at a loss on who to turn to and trust when I needed the diamond of my engagement ring replaced and setting changed and I’m so pleased that we chose Honour.
You were always enthusiastic and proud of the work your company do and that passion was appreciated with an item of jewellery with such sentimental value. I keep looking at my ring today, it feels like I have just got engaged again.
Thanks again, I would recommend you to anyone, Jo.

I’m thrilled to bits with my bespoke engagement ring, and both our wedding bands, what a delight it was to get them so beautifully packaged! I had no idea how they would arrive and the anticipation of opening all of the different elements to the gift wrapping was just wonderful. Absolutely loved the large box with all three rings in, such a lovely idea and they all looked so beautiful together. It all looked so glamorous and sexy!
I never guessed there was so much involved in the process of handcrafting bespoke rings, and I’ve found it really interesting – and ultimately the rings mean so much more to me than if I’d picked them in a shop! I can’t stop looking at my engagement ring! I’m supposed to be backing my wedding cake today but I just keep gazing at my hand. Thank you so much Lou.

Loved my Christmas present of engraved cufflinks from my wife!

Louise was great to work with and created a beautiful set of pearls for me for a special occasion that I then will be able to wear for years to come.
Sherrie-Jane Jackson
Louise patiently helped me decide on the perfect design of ring. The result is the most stunning ring with beautiful rich dark Amethysts. Thank you Lou.
Andrea Dams
Thank you to Louise for doing an amazing job on restoring a diamond and emerald ring left to me by my Granny. It’s been sat in a box for years and now I can finally wear it and remember Gladys May who I’m sure would be delighted.

When you have been married for 25 years and you have bought the usual anniversary gifts like the new stream iron and electric drill, whatever can you buy now that is going to have the same wonderful response? After much thought and deliberation I decided to call on an expert. I gave Louise a budget and an indication of what my wife would appreciate; as I have obviously got it right before. She came up with a ring which I knew would do the job. When I gave it to my wife she burst into tears – this time in a good way. Thank you Louise you saved the day or should I say the next 25 years.
Paul Haley
Having had my engagement ring made before I met Louise; I had terrible trouble with diamonds falling out of the setting.
Samantha Bailey
After 3 failed attempts with a previous jeweller to secure them, I asked Louise what she could do to help. She advised re-building the top of the ring so there was more gold holding the diamonds in place. I am so happy with the end result, it’s nice to know that I won’t be losing any more of my precious diamonds!
Mat and I knew the style of wedding bands we really wanted and Honour Jewellery made it so easy to choose the exact ones. As a surprise, I was able to arrange with Louise, to get them engraved with a personal message too. So thrilled. Thank you.
Elle and Mat Wood
I would highly recommend Honour Jewellery to anyone looking to have a bespoke ring made. From initial design to finished item I couldn’t have wished for a better result. My now fiancé loves it to bits. Thank you.
David Swaffield
One very happy sister! I lost count of how many “oh my God’s” she said. She was so stunned… and said the engagement ring looked as new as the day he proposed. There were at least 20 “Oh my God’s” and I have never seen her so pleased with something
Katie Bates
She said to thank you very much! xx
Thank you for all your help recently in the design of the engagement ring, which I am very happy to say resulted in a “yes”. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic at what was a very nervous time for me. Your help and advice was always calming and I felt looked after throughout. Being able to fully trust in your experience and professionalism made a huge difference, especially as the ring was a bespoke design. This resulted in the perfect engagement ring for my partner and the smile on her face made everything worth it. Thank you again Louise and I highly recommend your service. Kind regards
Matthew
A huge thank you to Honour Bespoke, I absolutely ADORE the ring & it’s so special to know that it has been made & designed exclusively for me – Pete even picked the perfect Emerald! It’s absolutely amazing to wear – I have had so many compliments & will treasure it for ever. It helped make the perfect proposal even more special…x

I couldn’t be happier with the simple and flexible process of working with Honour Bespoke. From the very beginning Louise was extremely accommodating and we were able to work closely together to create the exact ring I was looking for. Although I had some idea of the ring I wanted to create I was a jewellery novice, but Louise was able to provide me with the information I needed to make informed decisions throughout. My experience with Honour Bespoke was simple and rewarding and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product! Thank you Louise!
Pete Andrews
Thank you so much for making the Honour Experience such an enjoyable and pain free one for my wife and I. My wife was able to pick and help design her own unique piece of jewellery which she absolutely loves. I also did not have the stress of trying to pick out something that she would like and you were within the financial parameters I set! I would recommend Honour Jewellery to anyone who wants to ensure they end up with a beautiful jewellery design which is bespoke to them. Thank you again.

Thank you for getting me out of a spot of bother with my recent 25th wedding anniversary. Lorraine was over the moon with the pendant you crafted for her, and I’m back in the good books! We had a jolly good time at the party and I cant thank you enough for pulling out all of the stops to make it and deliver in time. I will be calling on your services again.
Adrian
We want to say a great big thank you for coming to see us and making our eternity ring! We are really happy with the results and thoroughly enjoyed your visits. It was so wonderful to experience such a personal service, and you delivered a ring that was way above our expectations.

I contacted Louise Blackburn after my Wife’s engagement ring unfortunately broke and a small diamond fell out of a setting. We also had a silver bangle that needed fixing. Both items are of significant sentimental value. Louise was able to inspect the items and gave me the solutions that Honour Jewellery could undertake. The work was swiftly completed and Louise personally delivered the ring and bracelet to ensure we were happy. To say the results were spectacular would be an understatement! Both items looked as if they were new. My Wife was almost in tears with joy. I would not hesitate to recommend Louise and Honour Jewellery to anyone.

An interview with the most personally referred jeweller in the South West
Louise x
Louise, you have had an impressive career within the jewellery world, tell us a bit about it.
My career started on Putney High Street in London, where I was Assistant Manager for a retail shop selling mainly silver jewellery, this was my first full time job so I really was thrown in at the deep end! I progressed to Manager of the store, and then to Area Manager for South West London.
About 6 years later, I was approached by one of London’s high-end jewellers to manage their retail outlets across Surrey and South West London and I excitedly accepted; this is where my love affair with precious stones and diamonds really began!
After 10 years of retail experience, I was ready for a new challenge and direction in life. A London based manufacturing company approached me, and offered me an Account Manager position for their premium retail client base, I was overjoyed to accept and really enjoyed learning the art of handcrafting bespoke jewellery, branding and marketing.
About 2 years ago, I decided to take the leap and set up my own jewellery company, as this has always been my passion.
My love of jewellery comes from my Mum!! She collects and makes jewellery so I have grown up in a world where gold, silver and precious stones have paid a large part in shaping my career and enhancing my life. The support of my Parents and Brother Neal, has given me the confidence to set up my own business. My Paternal Grandmother was also very fashionable in her day, and this has also played an important role.
Our online shop www.honourjewellery.co.uk offers beautiful jewellery that has been handcrafted in the UK by our designers, and is available for everyone; most of our online clients are looking for gifts and birthday presents.
Honour Bespoke is an entirely different experience, enabling me to personally look after clients who would like engagement rings, or bespoke jewellery for wedding anniversaries or special occasions.
I generally find clients will refer me to their friends and family, so after an initial introduction, I arrange to meet with them at their home. This enables me to get a real flavour for their style of living, and get a clear understanding of their tastes.
Most clients will have an idea of what they would like created, my job is to guide them through the design process, ensuring the experience of having a bespoke piece of jewellery made is exciting and very special. I return to see clients with designs and ideas, and often with stones for them to view. Once the final design is agreed, it takes 3-4 weeks to handcraft the piece, and then I return for a final visit to present the jewellery.
I have always wanted to run my own jewellery company but never had the investment required to open a shop on the high street. I designed the concept of offering a personal service to discerning clients, by visiting them in the comfort of their own home and creating beautiful jewellery, handcrafted especially for them.
I am extremely proud of the Honour Team and all of their hard work and dedication in ensuring Honour’s success. We are a very close-knit team and work really well together – which is key in ensuring Honour’s future growth.
Well, this has got to by my Ruby ring!! I absolutely love the design and whenever I wear it out to functions and parties it’s a real conversation starter. I personally feel its really important that I understand first hand, what it feels like to have a bespoke piece of jewellery made so I can ensure I deliver a personal service to our clients that is second to none.
I designed our memory hook to encapsulate the message we convey through our jewellery, every piece we handcraft is an expression of love for a very special person. ‘Express Love Honour’ are the three words we keep at the forefront of our thoughts as we design and create beautiful jewellery.
Because I absolutely love what I do, it doesn’t feel like working for a living! I get to know clients so well that they become friends, which I find truly rewarding. So it’s a bit difficult for me to draw a finite line between my life inside of Honour and my life outside of Honour. I love fashion and am addicted to Vogue Magazine! I enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside where I live, and love spending time with my family. I am also considering getting a puppy – so watch this space!

I was invited to a friend’s cocktail party and because I am a bit of a party animal I couldn’t say no! It was at her town house in Bath, and we had strict instructions on the invite to dress up – something else I love doing!
Whilst at the party I was introduced to Kevin who works in Insurance, as we got chatting, he seemed very interested in having a piece of jewellery handcrafted for his long term partner. Kevin explained that they had both been married before, and were not currently interested in getting married again, however he liked the idea of an eternity ring and wanted to give her the ring as a surprise.
We spent the rest of the evening talking about the kind of jewellery that Carla his partner currently wore, and what her taste was like. She seemed to be a traditional sort of lady, so I suggested a Diamond eternity ring with Diamonds in a channel setting. I explained to Kevin that we would handcraft the mount in Platinum and hand sort the diamonds before hand setting them.
One month later I met up with Kevin at his office and presented the eternity ring to him, he was thrilled with it and thanked me for organising everything and for keeping it a surprise!
I received a telephone call on a bright and sunny Monday morning, from a gentleman who wanted to know if I could handcraft him a ruby ring for his wife as a present for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. He had heard of the personal service we offered and wanted to know if there was an additional charge for coming out and seeing him. I explained that there was no additional charge for our service, because we do not have a shop with expensive overheads, we can afford to visit our clients.
I arranged to meet John and his wife Theresa the Tuesday of the following week, they were looking after their Grandchildren over the half term and they thought it better that I visit after the kids had gone back to their parents! Upon entering their detached four bedroomed home, I noticed that their style of living was quite modest and their house was extremely tidy – there was no trace of the Grandchildren that had been staying there for a week!
We shared a pot of coffee and discussed the ideas that John and Theresa had about the ring that they would like handcrafted. They wanted something quite traditional and almost antique-looking so I suggested a double-claw setting would give this affect. Theresa explained that after 40 years of marriage, she wanted something slightly different, that couldn’t necessarily be bought on the high street. I suggested a one carat cushion shaped Ruby with two smaller round diamonds either side, the unusual cut of stone and double claw setting would give this ring the uniqueness that Theresa was looking for.
One month later I returned to their home with the finished ring and handed the box to John to present it to Theresa, she absolutely loved the ring and said she would never take it off! They were having a party to celebrate their Anniversary and I was about to make myself scarce before friends and family started turning up, but John invited me to stay for a drink, I felt really honoured to be able to share this special occasion with them.
This project has got to be up there with my favourites, it was a ring we handcrafted for my Dad to give to my Mum for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. My Mum has always made and collected jewellery, she has been a huge inspiration in my life, and has helped to shape my career and create Honour. I knew we needed to come up with something very special, and also something different to the jewellery she already has.
Mum loves Yellow Gold and I knew she didn’t have a large three stone diamond ring, so Dad and I set about designing one that she would love and treasure. I sourced a large two and a half carat cushion cut Diamond; with two half-carat half moon cut Diamonds to sit either side. Once Dad had agreed the design, we handcrafted a platinum claw setting; this was to reflect the whiteness of the Diamonds, and to ensure such large stones were very secure, as Platinum is an incredibly strong precious metal.
We then handcrafted the 18ct Yellow Gold shank and soldered the two pieces together. Once we had our finished mount, we could hand set the Diamonds, and hand polish and finish the ring.
Dad presented Mum with her new ring at a family party and she was quite astounded!
Mum absolutely loves this ring and I am personally very proud to have been involved with such a special celebration for them.
I was asked to give a presentation at a local business networking organisation about how I had grown my business from scratch and what made Honour different. I was incredibly flattered and accepted the invitation, I thought it would be a good opportunity to market our services to a large group of local business owners.
There was a question and answer session after my talk and one gentleman came over and asked if I could make an Aquamarine and Diamond engagement ring in Yellow Gold for his partner. He had been saving for while and wanted to discuss design ideas with me. I arranged to meet Terry for lunch to discuss his ideas further as he wanted to keep his proposal a surprise.
The following Thursday I met Terry in a lovely local restaurant and we talked through his ideas, he knew that Sophie his partner really liked baguette cut stones and that pale aquamarines were her favourite. He told me that she only wore Yellow Gold and that he wanted the ring made in 18ct Yellow Gold to match her other jewellery.
We handcrafted a three stone Aquamarine ring; the Aquamarine’s are baguette cut, and there are two smaller Diamonds set either side of the Aqua stones. Terry was quite specific about what he wanted made for Sophie, and that meant I could quickly design a ring that I knew she would love! One month later I delivered the finished ring to Terry’s place of work and he was very pleased with the results! He was leaving work early to pack as he was going to propose to Sophie during a surprise trip to Paris – How romantic!
I received a phone call on a Saturday morning from a young lady called Sarah who was getting engaged and wanted me to handcraft her engagement and matching wedding ring. Sarah told me over the phone she had a very clear idea of what she would like, but wanted something that was made especially for her, and loved the idea that I would visit her and her Fiancé in their home.
I arranged a meeting with Sarah and James at their Somerset home the following Tuesday evening when they had both finished work. Sarah explained that she works in finance and how she presents herself as the Financial Director is really important. She wanted a large single stone Diamond for her engagement ring, with the stone set in a traditional four-claw setting, but with a slight modern twist. For her wedding ring Sarah wanted an eternity ring with Diamonds set three quarters of the way around the band, in a modern channel setting.
It was very obvious to me that Sarah and James have quite modern taste, as the decor in their home is very minimalistic. The furniture they have is designer made, and James brought me a drink in a cut-crystal glass; this tells me they like to enjoy the finer things in life! I suggested the metal for her engagement and wedding rings should be Platinum, and Sarah agreed.
Sarah had done a lot of research and was able to provide me with lots of information and pictures of exactly what she would like.
I returned three weeks later with her engagement ring and as I took it out of the box and handed it to James to present to her, she burst into tears stating it was perfect!
I returned to see the happy couple a month before their wedding day with Sarah’s wedding ring, as she was as thrilled with this as she was her engagement ring.
This Ruby and Diamond 18ct White Gold ring is a piece that I simply had to indulge myself with!!
I am a July baby so Ruby is my Birthstone – and I also love the colour red (which is just as well really!). I bought this stone as I completely fell in love with the beautiful colour and cushion shape cut. This 1ct Ruby is held in a tension setting and surrounded by Diamonds totaling 0.25ct in weight.
I wanted a real statement piece that expressed me as an individual and showcased the sort of jewellery that we handcraft. This ring has a very chunky look from the side, but is delicate when viewed from the top.
I felt it was really important that I created my own piece so I knew how my clients feel when I create beautiful jewellery for them – very excited and full of anticipation!!
I adore this ring, and whenever I wear it out to functions or parties; it’s a guaranteed conversation starter!!
We had previously handmade a Diamond half eternity ring with over one carats worth of high grade diamonds set in Platinum, for an Officer of the Army, as a present for his wife to celebrate the birth of their first child.
I received an email from him asking if I could visit him on the camp to discuss another project, we arranged a meeting and on a sunny summers morning I set off for Portsmouth. I really enjoy working with clients in the forces as Soldiers and Officers seem to be incredibly decisive!
Tony knew exactly what he wanted for his wife, an Aquamarine and Diamond three stone ring, set in 18ct White Gold. He also wanted me to clean and re-polish the Diamond and Platinum half eternity ring we had previously made for her.
Tony had cut outs from magazines, and had examples of what he liked from the Internet, this made it extremely easy for me to be able to understand and handcraft exactly what he wanted as his deadline was quite tight. It was their wedding anniversary in 20 days time so we had to pull out all of the stops and start work straight away to ensure we didn’t miss the date!
I returned to the camp 18 days later with a brand new Aquamarine and Diamond ring, and the re-finished Platinum and Diamond half eternity ring. I had chosen an extremely high grade Aquamarine, and had matched the grade of the diamonds to those in the half eternity ring. Tony was very happy with the results and said he would surprise his wife with her new ring over dinner at a very exclusive restaurant! – What a lucky lady!
During an autumnal evening the telephone rang, and when I answered a gentleman asked if I could make his wife a matching earring and pendant set for her 60th Birthday in one month’s time. He knew she would want a traditional look and feel to the pieces and asked if I was available to visit them and discuss their requirements. Upon entering their Victorian home I noticed how all of their furniture was quite old and that there were many antiques throughout their home.
We had a good chat about what she liked, and I found out her favorite colour was blue and that she loved flower arranging. I felt that cornflower blue sapphires set into a handmade cluster design with diamonds, would be something that she would really love, so I said I would source some stones for her to look at, and return with some sketches.
Once Sally saw the design and viewed the stones, she fell in love with the concept and asked that we handmade these as soon as possible for her! It was wonderful to return three weeks later with the finished pieces, and to see the happiness on their faces as she tried on the ring and pendant for the first time.
I am often asked to create wedding jewellery for brides to be and their bridesmaids, I received a phone call from a client called Sarah, we had handcrafted her engagement and weddings rings, a friend of hers wanted some earrings made for her wedding day and she wondered if I could help.
I called Holly straight away and explained who I was and that Sarah had referred her to me, Holly said her Mother wanted to buy her some earrings for her wedding day as a present. I arranged to go and see Holly at the shop where her wedding dress was being made so I could get a good idea of her taste and the design of her dress. Holly had pearls hand-sewn onto the bodice of her wedding dress, and the colour theme for the wedding was different shades of pink.
I suggested we continue the pearl theme from her dress to her earrings, and that we could incorporate her different shades of pink into the colours of the pearls. Holly loved the idea and explained that she would really love some diamond set into the earrings, and that drop earrings would be better as she was having her hair tied up on the big day.
I sourced some pink pearls for Holly and returned to visit her one evening at her home in Dorset, so she could select the colours; Holly had been researching online and found a design she loved that she wanted us to base her earrings on.
One month later I met Holly back at the dress shop where she had her final fitting and presented her with the earrings. Both Holly and her Mother were thrilled with the design and both felt they matched her dress and colour scheme perfectly!
I was recently exhibiting at a local wedding fayre and I got chatting to Fiona a bride to be. She wanted some rectangular shaped jewellery for her bridesmaids – of which there were eight! Fiona was having an extremely elaborate wedding in a castle in Somerset, she confessed that she had been very demanding on her bridesmaids and wanted a present to say thank you for all they had done.
Fiona was getting married in six months time so there was plenty of time to get everything organised. I explained to Fiona that we would need to cast the jewellery to ensure all eight were exactly the same, and that I was happy to come and discuss this with her at her home in Devon.
When I arrived at Fiona’s house a month later, I was completely in awe of the large county home set in acres of garden. We sat in the sunshine drinking tea on the terrace from bone china cups, and I listened to Fiona explaining her incredibly detailed wedding plans. Fiona is an artist and is humble enough to know she can be very demanding when she wants something to be exactly as she imagined it!
I suggested a modern Mother of Pearl design; a rectangular shaped pendant and earrings set, with handcrafted swirls of silver laid over the top. Fiona loved the idea and asked me to return with a prototype for her to view. I arranged another meeting at her fabulous house in six weeks time, after Fiona had returned from her holiday.
Fiona had gathered all of her bridesmaids together for the viewing and I was very relieved when all of them loved the design! Fiona suggested that I should sell the pattern on our retail website, and with her permission, we launched our Mother of Pearl range!
This Amethyst set was made for our lovely client Jayne, who frequently goes off travelling and returns will all sorts of gems and stones that she would like made into jewellery! Jayne purchased these Amethyst stones whilst she was travelling through Russia, as she fell in love with the deep dark purples and blue hues characterising these beauties.
Jayne loves modern jewellery, and lives in an ultra-modern house in London; she is also a big fan of Sterling Silver. She wanted a heavy silver mount for a large cabochon Amethyst pendant, and a ring made from some smaller heart-shaped Amethyst stones. I designed quite an intricate flower design for the ring, using three of the heart-shaped Amethysts, in a claw setting – I wasn’t 100% certain that Jayne would go for the design as its not in line with her usual taste. Jayne did love the design but felt it wouldn’t be something that she would wear herself. She asked us to make the ring for her, and gave it to her Niece as a 21st Birthday present!
One of my clients loves to travel and source her own stones, when she returns from her trip she often calls me to meet up for a coffee and a catch up. It great fun to see her photos and hear all about her time spent away! Jayne loves to purchase her own stones and then asks me to design some jewellery for her. She bought these Green Amber stones whilst travelling through The Baltic Region of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Jayne loves simple designs made in silver and always wants to have a say in the final look of her pieces. She lives in an ultra-modern house in London and is a big fan of modern jewellery, especially cabochon stones set in this modern ‘rub over’ way. Jayne prefers a simple elegant look, and always wants her jewellery to look understated, I love working with Jayne, as I never know what stones she will come back with next!!
